FAQ:

1. I just started in photography, can I join?

Answer: Yes of course! Photography is all about light. In the seminar we will start with BASIC composition and learn and DIFFERENTIATE between the quality of available light (cool morning lights, harsh noon day lights, warm evening lights) before we move on to using artificial lights and such and mixing ambient and artificial light

2. Are we suppposed to bring any photography gears? I only have basic kits lah!

Answer: Bring what ever you have and the kitchen sink oso! Kidding! Whatever you have will suffice, tho camera phones is pushing it a wee bit far lah. In the afternoon session you will be put in a smaller group to practice what you’ve learnt in the morning. The group will be lead by Facilitators who will guide you. There are a few ‘shooting stations’ for the workshop part of the seminar. Bring your external flash gun on top of your basic kit. Worse come to worse your DSLR pop-up flash will do nicely (which I will share how to use effectively in the morning seminar oso *winks*)

3. Will I learnt post processing in the seminar? Should I bring a laptop?

Answer: Erm, no. I will share some basic post process technique during the morning seminar but there’s no specific subject on post process. You can ask in the Q&A session tho *winks*

4. I just spend RM2k+++ to get me a DSLR kit so that I can join this seminar, can give discount ahh?

Answer: Yes. Grab the EARLY BIRD OFFER, be the first 50 to register and you get the ‘discount’ lah *grins*

5. How long is the seminar duration?

Answer: We gonna start the registration @ 8 15am and the seminar will start at 9 15am. We gonna have a few breaks in between subjects and there’s a lunch break as well. There’s free flow tea/coffee during the workshop session after lunch

6. You looked like a Nikon guy. Hey wait! You were using Sony brand as well, no? I’m use Canon woor, can join ahh?

Answer: Caaaannnnnn. Lighting fundamentals are the same irrespective of the camera brand you use. Tho I primarily uses Nikon gears, you can applies the techniques shared in the seminar with your current set up too

7. Is there any minimum number of participants set? if the required minimum is not met will you cancel the event?

Answer: Nope, there’s no minimum numbers of participants required before we proceed. We have a maximum cap of 200 participants only as that’s the seating capacity of the Auditorium. Why Auditorium? Unlike hotels ballroom, the people at the back can see clearly in an Auditorium what’s happening in front. On top of that, there’s a couple of screen on stage for the live demo session, een if you seated far back, you can still view the screen nicely

8. After I paid up, will there be refunds if I, a participant, can’t make it?

Answer: Refunds are made when the postponement/cancellation are made on the organizer’s part and not the participants. You can always get a replacement.

9. How do I confirmed my seat in the 16th October Lighting Seminar?

Answer: You confirmed your seat once full payment is secured. Facebook confirmation does not secure your seat, mind you *winks*
