…and you may have browsed thru the details here, and you may think of joining the said photo competition, especially when the prize monies could recoup some of your photographic expenditures lah.
And you keep on thinking of actually enteirng one…
Well, submission already ended on the 15th August 2010 and today was the Big Day. Once again I was invited to be in the judging panel comprising of various professionals in the photography world comprises of photoeditors, lecturer from the academic world, reps from PhotoMalaysia.com, the biggest photoforum in Malaysia and also a working, published professional photographer.
It’s no easy task, interpreting the photo competition theme into visual form and it’s no easy task for the judging panels either choosing images that best conveys the spirit and context of the competition.
The judging panels praised this year 800+ entries as the best in term of quality work and standard set yet. If you wanted to know who wins the Rm5k first prize along with 11 other prizes AND a (special)Jury Mentions award you just gotta wait lah for the official Winners announcement by the Organizer.
That being said, you, yes YOU, are cordially invited for the prize giving ceremony AND photo exhibition that will be held at Sunway Pyramid on the Saturday the 2nd of October 2010. See for yourself lah the 80 shortlisted entrants and the final 12 that vies for the 1st place.
If you missed this year competition, don’t worry, there’s always the next one, so do come see the exhibition and go home be inspired. perhaps you will be inspired enough to actually go out and MAKE some photos rather than discussing about “photography” on Innernet forums.
