Firdaus of Super Sunday Breaker

Written by Tedadnan on April 10th, 2008

So like yesterday, when The Chap Ayam Photographerz group held a little exhibition in conjunction with Program Hari Skrin 2008, Fakulti Teknologi Kreatif & Artistik, UiTM yesterday, Firdaus of Super Sunday Dancer did several performances…

Mana boleh tahan tengok ajer lah kan?

So I ran back to the car and breakout my ‘gear’…

The Lighting set up is as simple as it can gets:
For the keylight: 1x Nikon SB-26 plus 1x Nikon SB-800 (the light can be seen at the background where both strobes where triggered with PW radio trigger each) on 1/2 power in ‘M’ mode with the built in refletor zoom to about 50mm.

b. Front fill: 1x Sony F36 flash was attached to the hotshoe in TTL mode @ +1EV while a PW unit was taped on top of the F36 (with cable attached to the camera sync port). Pretty silly really, I just add more unnecessary weight er, weighing down the F36 flash.

PS steps:
a. Channel mixer + blending modes + hi pass filter (for the ‘urban’, gritty effect)
b. Corners burned in via inverse selection thingies (I’m hopeless at PS, just ask the mac dewd about my PS skills, he just gona point and laffs lah

Time taken for set up lights:
about 15 minutes

time taken for the editing part:
about 3~6 minutes for each pic in the set

Conclusions from the whole exercise?

I have too much time on my hands…
