Introducing (maybe later I gonna change my mind and call it something else lah) The Chicken series (…a.k.a. Ted Adnan Bilang gambar peram lama-lama dalam HDD takder hasil lah bro)

As per my previous post, some of my work are currently on display at the Guerilla Photography Exhibition at The Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. By 27th August tho I’m going to take down the current set and installing a new body of work. What kind of subject? Well, I’m currently torn between showcasing my work that I did for UNHCR Malaysia or some other personal work from my travel around the region.

Decisions, decisions.

Shall I flip a coin? Shall I go with my gut feeling? Shall I go to Facebook and created a pool for my Page on what photo the fans would like to see?

Since my current body of work on display are mostly (what I would like to call) abstract silhouette imagery, shall I showcase photos of beautifully lit portrait (of men and women, mind you) with multiple lighting set-up?

Fui yooh I think I made a faster decision on what to eat for 2nd breakfast (usually chappati with Nescafe™ tarik besar kurang manis at al-Shifans, a mamak establishment within walking distance of my “The Barebone Studio” in Saujana Impian, Kajang, Selangor) than deciding what photo to show for a photography exhibition.

But then again, since one of the exhibition criteria is that there’s no curator who’s going to arbitrarily decide for you what image suitable or not for viewing, I think I gonna suka-suka post these image (and some more oso) lah.

hmm… see how lah. I might change my mind later oso.

You might be wondering how do I lit the above portrait of the fighting cock (now I’m wondering lah shall I use the word “rooster” instead? After all, people are getting mighty sensitive these day, the slightest thing can offend their sensibilities and make them toss and turn at night. I think these people should chill out by having Nescafe™ and some chappati with mutton curry oso and smoke a kretek afterwards. Manyak syiok I’m telling you. Chuba try test tengok lah baru tahu…) lah.

Well, chakap banyak pun tak guna, a photo tell a better story than a thousand word so here goes…

Available light only…

Mr Tawan is the VAL for the day lah, note the none too cooperative fighting cock tu…
