At the 15th Burapa Pattaya Bike Week 2012 … (a.k.a. berangan nak bawak “Project:Orange” Demak DTM150 aku ke sana tahun 2013 lah pulak! Insya-Allah …)
I was at the Burapa Pattaya Bike Week 2012 a couple of weeks ago. This is the 15th edition of the famed event and only my 2nd trip with last year being the first. Like last year, I didn’t actually ride my motorbike all the way from Kuala Lumpur to attend the event but I took an Air Asia flight to Bangkok (no flight delay! In fact we’re 15 minutes early touching down in Suvarnabhumi International Airport yo! What an amazing experience!) and continue the journey via an express bus and rented a moped to the event.
With full leather gears like a Chopper Rocka that I am (poser alert!) *grins*
Amazing event, this Burapa Pattaya Bike week, loadsa mini events, you get Injuns and cowboys routines, a military drill by the local cadet (replete with blank ammo firing exercise!), if you got balls of steel you can take a ride with the paramotor outfit there, you get to actually see ALL types of motorbikes AND riders mingling together with “no discrimination” whatsoever. Did I mentioned there’s 3, yes, THREE different stages for concerts at night? Heheheh you got to see it to believe it! NO ENTRY FEE TOO!
What’s that? A ratbike? Come join, park wherever you like. Hey is that a BMW? Sure come in, park alongside this Souped up Yamaha Passola (I kid you not!) sir. Hullo? Is that a XR Yamaha 400 made up to look like a Triton Cafe Racer? C’mere park by this chopped up CB750F. You rode old classics like the Vespa and Lambretta? No problem. If you can ride ‘em, bring them over, Burapa Pattaya Bike Week Welcomes YOU!
Which bring us to Brudder Eib from Jitra, Kedah…

Brudder Eib, rode a standard Demak DTM150 all the way from Kedah en route to Laos for his Indochina Ride 2012.
That’s Brudder Eib, who hails from Jitra Kedah. Enroute to Laos leg for his Indochina Ride 2012 he stopped by Burapa Pattaya Bike Week 2012 to posed for a few shots.
He put me to shame, he rode, I flew. Tell you what, I’m planning a similar ride next year with Brudder Eib to Burapa Pattaya Bike Week 2013. I gonna ride my Project:Orange . If you got a same/similar make of motorbike and keen to join us next year, let me know lah.
Ted Adnan Bilang… Demak Pun BOLEH!

Since this is a lighting blog, you must be wondering how ler I light the above shot lah kan?
Here’s how:
One flash (Nikon SB-900) off camera set at Full (manual power) from camera (Canon 5D Mk2) left and a Pocket Wizard Plus II (expensive piece of plastic from the US, rabak poket!) plus a motorbike and Brudder Eib with Burapa Pattaya Bike Week background is all I need
P.S. I confessed! I used Photoshop™ (2 layer ajer yo!) to clone out the ciggy butts all over the ground. Actually I did the town council a favor by removing the thrash oso ler *grins*
